How to Build a Dog House
A
dog house should provide a snug, warm home for your pet.
Make the house light enough so you can move it to a shady spot in warm
weather. To keep out dampness, raise the house off the ground on
bricks or on a foundation of boards 4 to 5 inches wide. Drill air
holes in these boards to help dry out the ground under the house.
Tack a piece of carpet so it hangs over the door to keep out drafts.
For bedding, cover the floor with old blankets, shredded newspapers, or
cedar shavings. The house, below, is large enough for dogs
as big as boxers.
